Mechatronics is a new and contemporary discipline that researches the technology of control systems for industrial automation. This science department contains all the technical information about the branches of physics, electricity, electronics, computer and machine science. The interest and application areas of these different technological fields, which seem to be independent from each other but which interact with each other in many environments with rapidly developing technology under the mechatronics framework, are quite broad. Since the Mechatronics Department is the interdisciplinary department formed by mechanical, electronic and information technologies, it is essential to analyze and transform a mechanical system into automation. The basic principles of mechatronics such as mechanical systems, flexible manufacturing systems, computer integrated manufacturing, robotics and industrial automation are given and thus it will be possible for graduates to take the place of the industry. Technicians are trained in the machinery (manufacturing and material) industry with lessons related to machine technology as well as in the control sector with the courses related to electronics and automation. The mechatronics program is a training program which can give opportune to find jobs in the manufacturing sector and computers integrated factories. On the other hand, it organizes technical projects, robotics competitions, social activities with regular periods and collaborations of student clubs in order to improve the social and cultural aspects of the students.
