Introduction of Computer Technology Program  

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Project for the Promotion of Human Resources through Vocational Education and Training (İKMEP) aims to develop employment-oriented curricula between labor market, vocational colleges and vocational technical secondary education institutions based on fifth level occupational standards.

Within this scope; The Computer Technology Program under the Department of Computer Technologies, which provides a wide employment opportunity in the industrial sector in the industrialized countries, has been developed taking into account the needs of the sector.

The computer technology sector is constantly and dynamically evolving with the rapid change of market and competition conditions at global level. As a result of these characteristics, the computer technology sector attracts close attention of the countries as a strategic industry and special plans are made by the states for this sector. Especially in the rapidly globalizing business world, competition is gaining great intensity and industrialized countries are applying special policies for the protection of this sector and the development of competition power.

In the computer technology sector, it is estimated that there will be substantial incentives and investments in our country in the coming years, resulting in an increase in employment.

This program; Within the scope of İKMEP (Human Resources Vocational Education and Training Project), it has been developed by the teachers and instructors working in pilot institutions in cooperation with national and international experts, YÖK representatives and academicians, MoNE representatives and teachers, social partners, labor market representatives and professional staff .

During the program development process; Proficiency analysis was carried out in the job market, proficiency of vocational subjects was determined, competencies were analyzed and program contents were created and general framework of the program was determined by using the classification of İSCED'97 training areas and program documents were prepared. Developed program documents and necessary explanations are included in this booklet

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Level 5 is an associate degree program aimed at acquiring vocational and academic qualifications.

INTRODUCTION CONDITIONS

The YOK is determined by OSYM in line with the relevant legislation.

PROGRAM CREDIT

The student graduates from the program by completing 120 ECTS / ECTS credits.

EDUCATION TIME

Four Semesters (Internship is included)

(The total training duration of the program should be 3000-3600 hours, which includes the total learning duration of the modules in the lessons.)

HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL TRANSITIONS

Horizontal and vertical transition is made in accordance with the relevant legislation of YÖK.

CERTIFICATION

A graduate diploma is given to the graduate student Computer Technology Program.

 

When a student graduates, the courses and modules that demonstrate the qualifications earned in the course of education are indicated in the diploma attachments.

 

When the student leaves without completing the program; A certificate is given showing the proficiency, courses and modules you have gained during the training.

 

Professional qualifications gained in the program; Career development in business life, certificate programs and all other programs on demand.

In the perspective of lifelong learning, methods and techniques aimed at supporting individual learning, student-centered and proficient are applied.

LEARNING OUTPUTS

Skills related to the program are knowledge, skills, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, creativity and evaluation.

Computer Technologies are employed in companies that produce goods / services in the sector and public institutions and organizations related to them.

Students are directed to the business unit with the universities, non-governmental organizations, computer technology departments, businesses, professional rooms and professional staff in the educational activities, employment opportunities and planning issues required by the program.
